Available by appointment Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
 

 

Below you will see a “What to Expect” COVID-19 protocol list.  We will be following safety protocols issued by the state of MA and guidelines specific to massage therapy as per the Associated Bodywork & Massage Practitioners association. 

 

Arrival – Our office door will remain locked and waiting room closed. You will be greeted in the hall outside our office suite.

Masks – Clean masks are required for both the therapist and client at all times.  We have disposable medical masks available if you should need one.  We will make it safely possible for you to pull your mask down when you are face-down on the massage table in order to make breathing easier. 

Temperature – Your temperature will be taken in the hall with a touch-free thermometer.  If your temperature is above 100°F, you will be asked to reschedule.

Screening – If you have had any COVID-19-related symptoms within one week prior to your appointment, including fever, chills, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, body aches, muscle weakness, new skin rash or new loss of sense of smell or taste, we will need to reschedule.  If you have been exposed to someone with symptoms or someone who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, we must reschedule AFTER 2 weeks of the exposure.

Consent Form – For our insurance purposes, you are required to sign a COVID-19 Informed Consent before your treatment.  We will have a copy for you to sign when you arrive.

Hand Sanitizing – Hand sanitizing is required.  Please utilize the hand sanitizer we have provided upon arrival AND departure of our office.

Hygiene – We always appreciate your personal cleanliness, but it is especially important at this time.  Also, please leave your socks on after removing your shoes in the waiting room.  Clean socks will be provided if you are not wearing any.

Ventilation & Air Quality – A new HVAC system has been installed in our office suite.  This allows for optimum air flow and filtration.  Air purifiers will be utilized in our treatment rooms as well. 

Cleaning & Sanitizing – Our treatment rooms, massage tables, bathroom and common areas will be sanitized between every client.

Fees – There is a $4.00 surcharge per appointment to cover the costs of the more extensive sanitization protocols, cleaning supplies, extra laundering and protective equipment.

Payment – Due to high transaction fees and limited appointments, credit cards will no longer be accepted. We accept cash or checks. 

Please be sure to let us know if you become ill in the week following your appointment, or if you subsequently find out you were unknowingly exposed to someone with COVID-19 before your session occurred.  We will do the same.

CANCELLATION POLICY
I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

24 hour advance notice is required when canceling or downgrading your service.  This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.

Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
